The story of how and why Ghost Chicken Commissary became a thing.
I am a full time fire fighter and my wife is a full time hair stylist. Retirement is within sight for me, however not as close for my wife. We started looking for rental property to purchase to offset her income, for her to retire. I found an old/abandoned building near the end of Louisiana Ave. We purchased it at the end of 2022, and nearing 11 long months of construction, we finished and opened Ghost Chicken Commissary in July of 2023.
We would have never expected what this building was to become and how it would change our lives and others around us.
I thought we were going to renovate this old building just to point of power and water. Then once permitted to lease it to some other business. In the beginning of construction, I was introduced what a commissary and ghost kitchen truly was.
Partnering with my Uncle and Aunt we secured the finances to build the commissary to the way it is now.

Why Ghost Chicken?
The primary business concept was to be a "Ghost Kitchen". When we decided to get a LLC, I found it was trademarked, and unable to use.
The back-up plan was something Rooster, like Big Red, or Red Rooster, something Chicken in it.
So we married the names. Ghost Chicken Commissary was born!
What Ghost Chicken Has become
Ghost Chicken is a For Profit Business
We are very open about being followers of Jesus Christ. Ghost Chicken Commissary is His. I just steward the business.
Ghost Chicken Commissary is For Profit, however I like to think of it as a ministry. The entire business is to help others run their businesses.
Still ran as a legitimate business. I find helping fresh businesses thrive the joy of stewarding Ghost Chicken Commissary.
Since the end of 2025, my wife and I are the sole owners of Ghost Chicken Commissary. My Uncle and Aunt stepped down from being owners to just being avid fans they have always been for me. They truly were a God sent and Ghost Chicken Commissary would have never have been without them.
